Congress Court Cases

There are two court cases dealing with Congress. Both deal with Gerrymandering and Redistricting. There are several questions to answer for each court case. Please answer the following questions:

FACTS: State briefly the circumstances that put this case in the courts.

ISSUES: What had to be settled by the court?

DECISION: What was the court’s decision and what reasons were given for handing down this decision?

SIGNIFICANCE: What is the significance of this decision?

The cases are Reno v Shaw and Baker v Carr. This assignment is due at the end of the period in which it is assigned.
